Everything you need between a model and a print
3D Fosil checks a model against your printer, slices it with full print settings in your browser, and helps you set up the print with AI, without installing anything.
3D Fosil is a browser workspace with a slicer of close to 600 settings that runs on your own computer, STL risk analysis, AI print setup, multiple copies, layer-based colour changes, automatic mesh repair, saved printers and a history of every G-code.
What you get
Slicer in your browser
Slice STL, 3MF and OBJ models with close to 600 print settings. Slicing runs on your own computer; phones and very large jobs fall back to our servers.
STL risk analysis
Fit on the bed, print time, filament weight and cost from a real slice, support share and a risk score with the reasons behind it.
AI print setup
AI measures overhang angles, bed contact, balance, thin sections and mesh health, then suggests orientation and settings with a reason for each.
Build volume check
Your printer's printable space is drawn around the model and turns red when anything sticks out, so oversized prints are caught before slicing.
Copies on one bed
Print up to 50 copies of a model in one G-code, laid out in a grid and centred on the bed.
Layer colour changes
Add filament changes at any layer and see the colour bands in the preview; the G-code pauses with M600 or M0 so you can swap filament.
Automatic mesh repair
Models with holes are sliced with their open outlines kept, and every slice is checked layer by layer for missing walls.
Toolpath preview
Step through layers and toggle walls, top and bottom, infill, supports and adhesion before you download.
Your printers, saved
47 printer profiles from 11 brands or your own custom printer, each with build volume, nozzle, material and start and end G-code.
History of every G-code
Every slice is kept with its printer, material, print time, filament and layer count; analysis reports are saved too.
How it works
- 01
Add your printer
Pick it from the printer library or enter a custom build volume, nozzle and start G-code.
- 02
Upload and place the model
Move, rotate and scale it in mm, cm or inches, add copies, or let AI choose the orientation and settings.
- 03
Slice, preview and download
Slice in your browser, check every layer and download G-code made for your printer.

Features: common questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. 3D Fosil runs in a modern desktop browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. The slicing engine is loaded into the browser and cached for the next visit.
Can I print in more than one colour?
Yes, on a single-nozzle printer with layer colour changes: pick the layers in the G-code preview and the printer pauses there so you can load the next filament. Printers with several extruders or automatic filament changers are not supported yet.
What happens if my model has holes?
3D Fosil keeps the open outlines when slicing so no layers are dropped, then checks every layer against the model. If walls are still missing it warns you and offers to repair and slice again.
Which features use tokens?
Only STL analysis (10 tokens per file) and AI print setup (10 tokens per run, paid packages). Slicing and G-code download are free in every package.
Check your next model before it reaches the printer
